James F Brinkley Dies
Popular Georgetown County Resident Passes
Georgetown Jan 6 Special Mr James T Brinkley a well known citizen of the lower section of the State passed away at the home of his son Mrs John L Brinkley this city Wednesday morning in his seventy eighty year.
Mr Brinkley who was a native of Oates County NC moved to Georgetown County about twenty years ago to take a position with the Atlantic Coast Lumber Corporation. For a number of years he was actively engaged in obtaining large timber holdings and his efforts met with marked success.
Mr Brinkley was held in high esteem by all who knew him and his death came as a distinct shock to the community. He is survived by his widow Mrs Laura T Brinkley and the following children Mrs QE Broughton of Hendersonville NC Mr James C Brinkley John L Brinkley Mrs CL Whitton and Mrs CG Barr of this city.
