David Nevin Brockbank, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 8, 2003.

He was born on October 31, 1926, the son of Heber David and Olivia Swenson Brockbank.

He grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from East High School in 1944.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Attended the University of Utah where he met Lavonne (Vonnie) Nelson. They were married on April 18, 1947 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

He worked for American Greeting Corporation for 20 years. He was retired and self-employed at the time of his passing.

He had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He served a mission with his eternal companion in the Tampa Florida Mission from 1991-1993. He loved and was loved by children, youth, and adults throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Bountiful; daughters, Kathy (John) Murphy, Kaysville; Joanne (Mark) Day, Centerville; sons David, Phoenix; Gary (Marilee), Bountiful; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and acquaintances.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the 37th Ward Chapel, 1500 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing, Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brother Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 at the church. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
