Franklin Reese, 57, of 75 Arch St., Redwood, CA, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 1977, in Redwood, CA, of emphysema and bronchitis. He was born on Sunday, January 25, 1920, in Muskogee, OK, to Felix Frosty Reese, Sr. and Leota (Harper) Reese. Franklin was proud to have served as a Signalman 1st Class in the United States Navy Reserve. He is survived by his son, Franklin Reese, Jr. of Kent, WA; grandson, John "Bear" Franklin Reese and wife, Anntoinetta Jane Reese, of Del Norte County CA; brother, Felix Frosty Reese, Jr. of Muskogee, OK; 5 sisters, Leona "Bean" Satterfield of Muskogee, OK, Beth Ann Guthrie of Wagoner, OK, Mickie Buckley, Josephine "Jo" Turner of Wagoner, OK, and Jane Bennett of Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Homer Reese; sister, Mary Wynona Reese of Wagoner, OK; and 2 brothers-in-law, Howard Satterfield of Muskogee, OK, and James T. Guthrie of Wagoner, OK. Franklin will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives. Graveside Service 3:30 p.m., Monday, May 23, 1977.
