Born Jan. 29, 1884 in the Biardstown community, she attended public school in the old Liberty School. Her parents were Sanford Nance and Susan Daniel Nance.
In 1899 she married W. Tom King, and they resided in the Biardstown-Roxton area until 1946 when they moved to Paris. Mr. King died Jan. 1953.
Funeral services will be conducted by Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. H. E. Jerrell of the United Pentecostal Church officiating, and also Sister Virgie Temple of the Full Gospel Church. Interment will be in RockFord Cemetery.
Mrs. King is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Cockrum of Paris and Mrs. Jewel LaRue; five sons, H. L. King, Selma, Calif.; Leroy King, Paul King and Willie King, all of Paris; and Lloyd A. King, St. Louis, Mo.; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Veal Nance, Paris.
