Buck Brasfield

Buck Norman Brasfield, 73, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at the Rosewood Personal Care Home of Belden. He was a retired miner and carpenter, employed by U.S. Steele/Union 103. He was a member of San Dusky First Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Reserves. He was the son of the late Billie Norman and Ima Charity Adams Brasfield.
Services were Saturday, Aug. 21, a New Liberty Baptist Church in Vardaman with the Rev. Johnny Davidson officiating. Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery. Parker Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Gene Burrage Brasfield of Vardaman; five daughters, Betty Jean Williams of Pocohontas, Ark., Mary Jane Easley of Rockford, Ill., Helen Louise Vance of Houlka, Dorothy K Bias of Vardaman, and Regina Heldebrand of Birminghan; one son, Roger Brasfield of Birmingham; three sisters, Lois Wright of Wylam, Ala., Linny Franklin of Birmingham and Lessie Redden of Fort Meade, Fla.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Annie Williams and Marlyn Harris; four brothers, Norman Brasfield, John Brasfield, T. J. Brasfield, and Arthur Brasfield; and a sister Annie Bell Pettit.
