Norma was born March 11, 1904, in Marion, to Norman and Mary June Bunting. She married John W. Bunting, who died in 1970. Norma worked at a law firm in Marion for many years as a proof-reader. She was a former member of the New Arts Club, Musical Literary Society of Marion, Daughters of the American Revolution and she sang with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Norma was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Marion, where she sang in the choir.
