Born about 1627 (aged 7 on 30 April 1634). Maltster who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1634 on the "Francis." (On 30 April 1634, "Henry Haward," aged 7, under the care of "Jno. Bernard," was enrolled at Ipswich as a passenger for New England on the Francis). First settled in Cambridge; moved to Hartford in 1636, Wethersfield in 1649, & back to Hartford in 1663.
Died between 12 March 1708/9 (date of codicil) and 24 March 1708/9 ("deceased in March 1708/9").
Married in Hartford 28 September 1648 Sarah Stone, sister of SAMUEL STONE {1633, Cambridge}. She was still living on 4 December 1716 .
Henry Hayward was a kinsman in some degree of JOHN BARNARD {1634, Cambridge}.
No record places Henry Hayward in Hartford between his marriage in 1648 and his purchase of lands from his kinsman John Barnard in 1663, and so we assume that he resided at Wethersfield for that entire period, for whatever reason.
