Mr. Troy Asher, age 79 of Manchester passed away Thursday, March 17th, 2005 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born December 30th, 1925 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Ballard and Ellen Halcomb Asher.
He was a retired Truck Driver and Coal Miner and a member of the Island Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Asher is survived by his wife: Bernice Jones Asher of Burning Springs, Kentucky and 1 Daughter: Angela Asher McQueen and husband Darrell of Burning Springs, Kentucky. Also surviving are the following grandchildren: Tonya Farmer, Tammy Asher, Danielle Messer, Heather Wood, and Tony Brandon Asher. 8 Great Grandchildren survive as well as 1 brother: Howard Asher of Berea, Kentucky.
Mr. Asher is preceded in death by two sons: Tony Asher and Greg Asher, 2 Sisters: Martha Barnes and Louise Clipper, and 1 Brother: Carl Asher.
Funeral Services for Mr. Troy Asher will be Sunday, March 20th, 2005 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Asher Cemetery in the Island Creek Community.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 19th, 2005 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
