Eva Mae Lucher Tiller, age 87, was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and a native of New Waverly, Texas. While her husband served in WWII in the U.S. Army Medical Corp, Eva Mae worked for the War Ration Board. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked several years in the retail clothing industry.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles C. Tiller Sr. who had passed away on February 6, 2009, and her brothers Tony, Herman, and George Lucher. She is survived by her daughter Charlene Olmsted and her husband Mike; sons Charles Tiller Jr. and his wife Mary, and Dwight Tiller and his wife Belinda; in addition to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A funeral mass was held Friday March 6, 2009 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, followed by interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the local S.P.C.A. in the name of her dogs, Bonnie, Heidi and Daisy.
