Killed in Action 22 Feb 1944. Member of the 303rd Bomb Group, 358th Bomb Squadron, Molesworth, England.

Served aboard B-17 42-38041, Hell's Angels II. Pilot John Stuermer, Co-Pilot Charles Reynolds, Navigator: Bill Tielman, Bombardier: Clyde Newman, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Dave Harris, Radio Operator: Ed Murray, Ball turret gunner: Joe Stark, Waist gunner: Marv Carroll,Tail gunner: Marv Collins (9 Killed in Action); Waist gunner: Dave Miller (Returned to Duty); While on assembly for a raid into Germany, Hell's Angels II collided with B-17 42-31516 shearing its off tail over England, crashing both planes.
