MRS. CLARENCE JEFFRES

Obituary

Minnie May Sanders was born to H. Edward and Wilhelmena Sanders at Saxony, Germany on March 13, 1880, and departed this life December 3, 1950 at her home in Burwell, Nebraska, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 20 days. At the age of 2 years she moved with her parents to Council Bluffs, Iowa. After living there for a period of time, they moved to the homestead 5 miles south of Burwell.

On November 25, 1898 she was united in marriage to Clarence Jeffers(sic) at the home of her parents. To this union were born five children, one of who preceded her in death. The first five years of their married life they spent at Horace, Nebraska. From there they moved to their farm in Valley County. In 1929 she moved with her husband to Burwell, where she lived until the time of her death. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Florence M. Bleach. She is survived by her husband Clarence of Burwell; three sons, Sam and James of Burwell, and Ernest of Sagle, Idaho; one daughter, Bernice Oberkotter of Sandpoint, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Wilhelmena DeHart and Mrs. Louise Sebesta of Ord, Nebraska. She was a kind, loving wife and mother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was a great lover of flowers and could be seen most every day in the summer working among her flowers.

Our darling has bid us farewell today;
It won't be forever, she has just gone away.
Where the angels will meet her on that golden stair,
In her heavenly home, she'll wait for us there.

Where she'll talk to her Saviour
In person hereafter;
Where tears are unknown,
Just contentment and laughter.

Darling mother of mine,
It is so to wait,
Till our number is called
And we meet at the gate.

We'll just keep on praying
That he'll accept us as well.
Then we'll join you in Heaven,
Where together we'll dwell.

While we wait for that meeting,
We'll pray to our God
That we never shall falter
Along the path we have trod.

That we may be forgiven
Our sins of the past,
And be taken up there
Where we'll meet her at last.
-- By Bernice Oberkotten.

Services were conducted from the Christian Church by Albert Delbridge. Interment was in the Cottonwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Gregory, Dermot Erington, Elz Donner, Allen Maxfield, Tom Banks, and Pete Jurgensen.

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the singers; all of those who sent flowers; the ladies of the Christian Curch who served dinner; also those who bought food to the home; the minister for comforting sermon.
