Kara graduated from Harper Creek High School and Western Michigan University with a degree in Cmputer Sciences. During High School, Kara worked at Speeds in Lakeview. After graduation from Western Michigan she was employed in the medical software field in Kalamazoo. She later took a job in Huntington Beach, CA, and resided there for many years, until relocating back to Michigan in early 2007.
She married the "Love of My Life" Chris Hart, in Kalamazoo, on October 12, 2008. Kara is survived by her husband, Chris; mother, Norma M. Kruger of Climax; brother, Jeff Stephens of Climax; sisters, Susan (Leon) Cronk of Corinth, TX; Connee Damstra of Portage, MI; 9 loving nieces and nephews; 10 wonderful great-nieces and nephews; special in-laws, Phil and Marilyn De Merchant of Bullhead City, AZ; also a "Special Brother", David Heyduck. She was preceded in death by her father, Myles Kruger, her brother, Larry Kruger and grandparents.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Lakeview Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeview Baptist Chapel Fund.
