Thelma M. Conner, 86, of Altoona died Monday morning at home. She was born in Ashville to Nicholas P. and Anna M. (Shank) Schirf. She married John M. Conner, who died July 22, 1975. Survived by son, James E. Conner and wife, Virginia, of Pinecroft; three granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her dog, Buddy. She was the last immediate member of her family of 10 siblings. She was predeceased by an infant son, John, and a great-grandson, Tiernan J. Conner Park. Mrs. Conner was a 1940 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She retired as a secretary from Ward Trucking Co. after 25 years of service. She was past president of A&J Iaia American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. At her request, there will be no public viewing. The funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements, Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, 328 Fifth Ave., Altoona.
