Myles Robert Standish Jr., 76, of Westville,died Sunday at Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury. Mr. Standish lived in Westville for the past 55 years. He retired six years ago after 35 years as manager of a Horn and Hardart restaurant in Philadelphia. Previously, he worked at Hangsterfer's Laboratory in Mantua and the Dunkin' Donuts shop in Glassboro as a baker. Mr. Standish was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the National Guard. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 685 in Philadelphia, and American Legion Post 945 in Wormleysville, Pa. Mr. Standish was deacon at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Highland Avenue, Westville. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta; a son, Myles Robert III of Oceanside, Cal.; a daughter, Linda Halscheid of Mullica Hill; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Westville. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Contributions may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church or to the Westville Ambulance Squad. Arrangements are by the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home, 301 Highland Ave., Westville.
