Professional Football Player. Born in Houston, Texas, he was an All-American running back for the USC Trojans and a first round choice when drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1977. For five seasons he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1977-81) and the San Diego Chargers in 1982. He played in 64 games with a total of 3063 yards rushing, 97 receptions, 842 yards receiving and 19 touchdowns scored. He was the younger brother of recording artist Archie Bell. He died at age 29 in Los Angeles, California.
