Melinda K. Justice

Melinda Karyn "Mindi" Justice, age 17 of Forest died Sunday May 10, 2009 at 4:38 a.m. due to an automobile accident. She was born on Sept. 13, 1991 in Findlay to Carrol J. "Pudge" Justice II who survives in Findlay and Ann M. Rodabaugh who survives in Forest.
Melinda is also survived by her sisters Mrs. Kevin (Amy) Phelps, Forest, Kylie Justice , Findlay and brother Ryan Justice, Chicago, IL, paternal grandparents Junior Justice, Upper Sandusky and Judy Justice, Findlay and paternal great grandparents Edgar & Opal Justice, Wharton, OH and a niece, Kennedy Phelps, Forest.
She is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins. Mindi is preceded in death by paternal great grandmother Josphine Thompson, maternal grandparents A. Dale & Norma Jean (Musgrave) Rodabaugh, 2 uncles Edgar Justice, Ryan J. Rodabaugh and 2 aunts Melinda Carel Rodabaugh and Leah Karen Rodabaugh.
Mindi attended Riverdale High School where she was a member and captain of the Varsity Competition Cheerleader for 3 years and most valuable cheerleader for 2 years. Mindi cheered 3 years for Varsity Basketball and 2 years Varsity Football. She was named as a Universal Cheerleaders Association All-Star and a member of the Findlay Cheer Elite All-Stars. Mindi volunteered during the mini cheer camp, assisted the Midget Cheerleaders.
She was class President during her Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years. Mindi was a Freshman Homecoming Attendant, and was elected to prom committee. Mindi was known for making time for others and she portrayed this quality by being a high school helper for 3rd grade for 3 years. She also was a Forest Tree Town Festival Volunteer where she was jump queen and tumble queen at the festival. She was on the Varsity Volleyball Team and was a former softball player. She attended Ohio State Cheerleading Clinics and aspired to be an OSU cheerleader and become a teacher.
Her other hobbies included computers, photography, scrapbooking and camping. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, and loving personality.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday May 14, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the Riverdale High School Central Office Gymnasium with Joseph T. Searfoss officiating.
Visitation will be on Wed. May 13, 2009 from 3-8pm at the CLARK SHIELDS Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Mt. Blanchard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melinda Justice Cheerleading Memorial Fund in care of CLARK SHIELDS Funeral Home 301 S. Patterson St. Forest, OH 45843.
