Leo Gluck dies at 92; Retired Mining Engineer
Leo gluck, retired mining engineer and one of the oldest alumni of Washington University, died Monday in New York, where he lived, friends here learned today. He was 92 years old.
Mr. Gluck was born here in 1866, was graduated from the old Manual Training School in 1883 and received a degree of engineer of mines from the university on June 14, 1889. He was honored as an outstanding alumnus last Feb. 21 at ceremonies marking the 105th anniversary of the university's founding.
He served as a mining consultant in England, France and Germany, lectured at several universities in the United States, and wrote articles for mining publications. Private funeral services will be held in New York.
