Risdon H. Bishop (10/27/1824-1/9/1903) was born in Little Creek, Kent County, Delaware, the son of William S. and Harriet Denny Bishop.

He was a farmer, the husband of Evaline and father of Elanora Bishop Cook (1858-9/7/1891) who lived at 1021 Pine St. Wilm., DE.

He enlisted in Delaware Regiment 1, Co. K in May 1861, discharged in Aug. 1861, re-enlisted in Delaware Regiment 1, Co. F on Mar. 4, 1862 and discharged Feb. 10, 1863 after receiving a gunshot wound in his left foot.

He was admitted to the Military Hospital in Hampton, Virginia on Sept. 21, 1885 and died Jan. 9, 1903.
