Julia Ann Shook, passed away at her home, 5709 N. Florida, Friday, Nov. 7. She was born Dec. 24, 1890 on a farm near Stet, Missouri and came to Okla. in Sept. 1891. She had lived in Oklahoma City since 1907. Before her marriage to the late J.H. Leavitt in 1936 she was a trust officer at American First Title & Trust, OKC. She had been a member of the Okla. State and County Bar Associations since 1929 and was a member of the Okla. Art League. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Crooks of the home and Mrs. C. Julian Vahlberg, Okc; three grandchildren, C. Julian Vahlberg, Jr. and wife, Virginia, Severna Park, Md; Kenneth Crooks, Palo Alto, CA; and Vivian Vahlberg and husband Richard Gordon, Kenilworth, Illinois. Her 9 great-grandchildren are Vivian, John, Matthew and Connie Vahlberg, Brady, Ross and Alex Gordon, and Porter and Stuart Crooks. Graveside services will be 11:00am Monday, Nov. 10 at Arlington Memory Gardens, NE 35 & Midwest Blvd.
