Arthur Wayne Fisher, 56, of Chillicothe, Illinois, died 5:56 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly. He was born December 4, 1952, in Chillicothe, Illinois, to Clyde and Ella Louise Fisher Fuller. On May 25, 1974, he married the former Karen A. Downs who survives.
In addition to his father, Clyde Fuller, of Ross County, he is survived by sons, Arthur Curtis (Mari) Fisher, who is serving in the U.S. Navy in Hawaii and Jason Christopher Fisher and his fiancée, Heather Kuntz, both of Chillicothe, Illinois; grandchildren, Karen, Zachary and Seth; a sister, Paulette Rinehart, of Frankfort; half brother, Mike Fuller; several nieces and nephews; stepfather, Carl Shoemaker, of Roxabel; father-in-law Tom (Louise) Downs; brothers-in-law, Mark Downs and wife, Starla and Tommy Downs; and sister-in-law, Patricia Conaway and husband, Jimmy. He was predeceased by his mother, Ella Louise Fisher Shoemaker.
Arthur served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He has worked for Glatfelter for the past 30 years. Arthur was a member of American Legion Post 62, AMVETS Post 4 and United Steel Workers Local 731.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
