Dr. Elmer L. Hager Dies

Dr. Elmer L. Hager, 61, of Omaha, formerly of Clay Center, died at the Mary Lanning hospital (sic) in Hastings, Friday, April 28, 1950, where he had been since Monday. Dr. and Mrs. Hager were visiting relatives at Hastings, Sunday when he became ill he was taken to the hospital.

He was born at Clay Center on September 16, 1888.

Dr. Hager operated a jewelry store for many years at Clay Center before going to Omaha.

He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge No. 139 and Knights of Phythias at Clay Center, the Scottish Rite and Tangier Shrine Temple of Omaha and the First Christian church (sic) in Omaha.

He is survived by his widow, the former Grace Montgomery Hager, and one sister, Mrs. Edna Bidinger of Chicago, Illinois.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 30, 1950, at 2:30 p.m., at the First Christian church (sic) at Clay Center. Masonic Lodge 139 had charge of graveside services at the Clay Center cemetery (sic).
