Stanley Herbert Bennett, a retired machinist, who lived at 7915 N. Hudson St., died Sunday in a local hospital. He was 89 and had been a local resident since 1933.
Until retirement in 1956, Mr. Bennett had been an employee of B.E. Davis Machinery Co. for 21 years.
He was born June 21 <21 crossed out and 24 written in>, 1890, at Spencer, Wis.
Surviving are his wife, Aileen, four sons, Stanley Jr., Tacoma, Wash.; William, Cougar, Wash.; George, Winslow, Ariz.; Lawrence, Costa Mesa, Calif.; daughter Letha Montgomery, San Leandro, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Sunset Hills Mortuary Chapel. Internment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
