Services for Pervie Evelyn Hunter, 71, of White Oak will be 2 p.m. today at Welch Funeral Home in Longview with the Rev. Lindsey burs officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. She died Monday morning in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hunter was born May 28, 1920, in Neshoba County, Miss. She moved to Longview in the early 1930s and spent five years in South Texas, returning to Longview 36 years ago.

she was a 1939 graduate of White Oak High School, a member of the Church of Christ and a former and charter member of Emanuel Baptist Church. Also, Mrs Hunter was a sales lady in the jewelry department of Dillard's.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy; daughter Patsy Smith; and brother, Kramon.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Don and Debra Hunter of White Oak; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Max Hill of White Oak, mother, Macie higginbotham of White Oak; brothers, Philmon Higginbotham of Gladewater, Harold Higgingotham of Dayton, R.L. Higginbotham of Longview and Ernest Higginbotham of White Oak; sisters, Beatrice Odom and Ardel Bozarth, both of White Oak, Jean Ingram of Monroe,LA., and Maureen Harris of East Mountain: eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
