was admitted to the Bar after studying the law under Judge Isaac Hudson II of Pulaski Co, his mother's 2nd husband. He entered private practice about 1892. In 1911, he was elected Commonwealth's Attorney for Pulaski County and was inducted into office 1/1/1912.
