Service for Ralph F. Roberts, 71, of Whippoorwill Ln. will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He died at 6:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at his home following an illness. A native of Franklin County, he was a retired employee of National Distillers & a member of East Frankfort Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Mary Wilson Roberts, Frankfort, a daughter, Beverly R. Powell, Louisville; 2 sons, Dale E. Roberts, Frankfort & James David Gravitt, Owenton; a brother, John William Roberts, Frankfort; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Faye Hardin & his parents, Forrest & Edna Mae White Roberts. Sandy Wilson, Darian Payton, Jeffery Roberts, Lonnie Hardin, John Lynn Roberts and Jerry Wash, will serve as casket bearers. Honorary Bearers will be Wes Powell, Vallory Powell, Sara Beth Roberts, Jeff Allen, Joseph Allen, and Nicole Gravitt.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
