Lula Ball, age 79, of Coffeyville died April 20, 2006 in Coffeyville.

She was born July 13, 1926 in Parker, Kansas to William Franklin and Margaret Isabell (Powers) Ellison. She attended schools in Coffeyville. On May 18, 1947 she married Clyde Ball in Columbus, Kansas.

Lula worked at the Ammunition Plant and was a homemaker. She later worked as a CNA at Golden Age Nursing Home. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading the Bible, and going to church. She loved to swing at the park and going to the zoo. She loved animals.

She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Lula is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Clyde Lee and Linda Ball of Dearing; daughters MaryLou Lauren and husband Robert Bell of Olathe and Mary Ann Bennett.
There are 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. There is one sister Mary Berg of Whittier, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2006 in the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jamie Regis will officiate and burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday beginning at 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home.
