PAWNEE ROCK — Alice May Ingram, 101, died April 24 at her daughter's home in Independence, Mo. Born December 7, 1907 at Max, Neb., she was the daughter of Arthur L. and Mary E. Foster Parsons. She married Kenneth Paul Ingram on May 28, 1933 Max, Neb. He died July 22, 1999. A longtime resident of Pawnee Rock, she moved to Independence to be near family. She was a retired school teacher and homemaker, Pawnee Rock librarian for over 20 years and a certified Braille transcriber.
Mrs. Ingram was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Great Bend.
Survivors include two sons; Jared, Sun City, Ariz. and J.D., Independence, Mo.; a daughter, Jewell Bowman-Fortman, Independence, Mo; one sister Elsie Buster, Larned; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Parsons and Lyman Parsons; and sister Jeannette Weldon.
A celebration of Life Service took place in Independence. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery at a later date.
