David Laird is my great grandfather and was a veteran of the civil war. He was injured while on duty and was cripled for the rest of his life.∼Co. B 7 Miss. Inf. C.S.A.; served in Civil War for 4 years. Mr. Laird was a Prisoner in Chicago, Illinois for 21 months. He is the husband of Sallie Kimble Laird, she was his second wife. There are two military markers for this grave.
