LEWISTON - Garold Earl Owen, 67, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at his home in Lewiston, Utah.
He was born Aug 9, 1935, in Sargent, NE the son of Earl Paul and Alice Montrey McIrvin Owen. He married Nelda Cowan Haws Oct 7, 1983, in Rexburg, ID. He was previously married to Alice Fenton and Julia Meier. He worked as a coal miner, machinist, and as a custodian for Cache County School District. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, and woodcarving. He was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda, Lewiston; three daughters and three sons, Phyllis (Hal) Lassig, Pahrump, NV, William (Deanna) Smith, Salt Lake City, UT, Joe (Terry) Smith, Duchesne, UT, Richard E. (Mary) Owen, Cascade, ID, Deanna (Jose) Olano, Cascade, ID, Jaclyn Jo Wilcox, Preston, ID; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three step-daughters and five stepsons, Julie Haws, Rexburg, ID, Kim (George) Orr, Jerome, ID, Daniel (Kathie) Haws, Santaquin, UT, Gary L. (Charie) Haws, Firth, ID, Mark (JoAnne) Haws, Rexburg, ID, Sally Haws, Rexburg, ID, Rickie J. (Beth) Haws, Queen Creek, AZ, Marlin Haws, Salt Lake City, UT; one brother and three sisters, Donald (Beth) Owen, Oroville, WA, Maxine (Jay) Bemas, Benson, AZ, JoAnn (Donald) Soloman, Baker City, OR, Opal (Paul) Hines, Salton Sea Beach, CA.
Services will be Wed. Dec 11, 2002, 12 noon, Lewiston LDS First Ward Chapel, 10 S. 1600 W, Bishop Kimber Hall presiding. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, ID, and Wed. 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lewiston Cemetery.
