A visitation for Ernest Terry Patterson, 61, Lawrence, will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at his home.
He was born April 7, 1948, in Lawrence, the son of Ernest E. and Elzina M. Rowland Patterson. He attended Lawrence public schools and was a 1966 graduate of Lawrence High School.
Mr. Patterson worked as a painter for 22 years at the Kansas University Housing Department. He had worked previously with his dad at Pioneer Painting.
He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid KU sports fan.
He married Paula Fulks on May 25, 1968, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Troy, of Lawrence, and Stacy and wife Lynn, of Oskaloosa; one sister, Karon Patterson, of Alamosa, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Brittney, Mitch and Victoria Patterson.
