Lonnie was born in Tuxedo, Texas, to the late William and Velma (Farley) Campbell. He married Wanda Hobbs in Ft. Worth in 1956. He was the owner of Lonnie Campbell Painting Contractor and a member of the American Federation of Musicians. Lonnie was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Lonnie was also preceded in death by two brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Janice Gilman and husband, John, of West; sons, Gary Campbell, of Cedar Park and James Campbell, of Waco; grandchildren, Malorey Dulus, Dalton Gilman, James Allen Campbell, Shelby Campbell, Jacob Campbell; great-grandchild, Cole Dulus; sisters, Velma Rorie, of Stamford and Lallie Faye Kirkland, of Graham; and brother, John Campbell, of Floydada, Texas.
