Lars W. Pearson was born in Millville, the first son of Lars and Emma Beata Nielsen Pearson. His father died when he was twelve so it was necessary for him to work to help support the family. On March 17, 1925, he married Gladys Covill McCulloch at Preston, Idaho. She was born in Logan, the daughter of Reobert and Hannah Covill McCulloch. Lars and Gladys made their home in Cornish, Utah, where Lars farmed and gained prominence as a taxidermist. Gladys helped her husband on the farm and canned fruit and vegetables for their winter use. In addition, she was employed out of the home. She enjoyed handiwork and will be remembered for her beautiful quilts. Lars and Gladys purchased Lars's boyhood home in 1953 and spent the rest of their days in Millville. Gladys died Maly 10, 1988. They were the parents of: Dean, Leone, Betty P. Merrill, Ruby P. Riggs, Lorene P. Pitkin, Joan, Clair and Reed.
