Dies August 11

Mrs. Jessie Ann Marquis, 86 year old Woodburn resident; died Thursday, August 11 at the Midwest Nursing home in Osceola.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, August 13, at the Webster Funeral home with' Rev. John W. McCallum
officiating. Burial is in the Woodburn cemetery.

Mrs. Marquis was born May 23, 1880, at Mediapolis, the daughter of William and Laura Cochane Clark. She was educated in the Mediapolis schools and in 1911 married W. L. Marque's at Woodburn. She was a member of the U.B. church at Ottawa.

Surviving relatives include son, Forrest of Ft. Dodge;. 3 daughters: Mrs. Henry Marwede of Beloit, Wisc., Mrs. Russell Hamilton of Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Maurice Sinift of Burlington; six grandchildren, a great grandson, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and three sisters.
