He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Chevalier and was a service manager/tech at Montgomery Ward for 15 yrs.He retired in 1977. He was a member of POST 82 of the American Legion.
Survivors include his daughters,Beverly (Bruce) Bowers of Crawfordsvill; and Debra (Chuck)VanGorder of Fort Wayne; sons,Richard D(Nancy)Lee II of New Haven and Mike W.(Patty) Lee of Fort Wayne; a brother, Harlan Lee of Cincinnati,Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A grandaughter, Shallon, and grandson, Todd are deceased.
The C.M.Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St, Fort Wayne, Indiana took care of services. Memorials were made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
