HOOPER - Vida Ione Arave Parker, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 4, 2004, of causes incident to age.
She was born May 28, 1913 on the same farm where she lived her entire life. Her parents were Frank and Sarah Ann Andrews Arave.
On December 21, 1932, Vida married David Fay Parker, Jr. in Hooper. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 8, 1934. Fay died June 3, 1982.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in the Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Vida was a homemaker and occasionally worked outside the home as a salesperson. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and interior decorating, especially in her own home. She loved going shopping.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Ronald F. (Sonia) Parker, Hooper; David Jay (Marcia) Parker, West Point; NaDene (R. Duane) Cox and JoAnn (Juergen) Mudrow, both of Hooper; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom she deeply loved.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son, Darrell, and 14 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Hooper 3rd Ward Chapel, 5601 South 6100 West.
Friends may call at Lindquists Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
