She was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Echo, to the late Charles E. Umbaugh and Laura (Cravener) Umbaugh.
A resident of the area for 33 years, Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Dayton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Laura) Kunselman of Murrysville and Mrs. Keith (Linda) Rieder of McDonald; a son, John A. Dixon of Dayton; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Ann) Heynoski of Erie; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Herman.
DIXON - Friends of Ida M. Dixon, 62 of Dayton, who died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1987, will be received at the Frank O. Bly Funeral Home, Main Street, Dayton, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements by Bly.
