Funeral services for Mrs Grace Schumacher, 93, of Battle Creek, Iowa, were held at 3pm Saturday, May 10, 1986, in the First Presbyterian Church at Battle Creek with the Rev James W Krapf officiating.
Mrs. Schumacher died Thursday, May 8, in the Horn Memorial Hospital at Ida Grove, Iowa....
Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Christensen Funeral Home of Battle Creek.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Lewis, Roger King, Donald Lewis, Larry King, Robert Schumacher Jr, and Arthur Schumacher....
The former Grace Martin was born Aug 17, 1892 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa.
She was a lifelong area resident in Ida County, Iowa.
She married Hans Schumacher on Dec 2, 1908, in Ida Grove. Mr. Schumacher died Nov 21, 1970 at Battle Creek.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Alice) Lewis of Battle Creek and Mrs. Earl (Elsie) King of Correctionville; two sons, Hans R of Cushing and Robert A of Battle Creek; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.
