Mrs. Walter Scott
The funeral services for Mrs. Betsy Elizabeth Scott, who passed away at her home in Belvidere, Thursday, May 29th was held in Christ Church Belvidere, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial in Belvidere cemetery.
The pallbearers were four nephews: Eben Vickory, Milford Vickory, Bradford, PA, Glenn Scott, Birdsall, and Lester Scott, Hornell.
Mrs. Scott was born in Caneadea, Aug. 30, 1860 and was approaching her seventieth year. Her parents were Adam Scott and Lois Lewis Scott. She went to live in Belvidere when 16 years of age and continued to make that her home until her death.
Fifty years ago she was married to Walter Scott, who survives her, together with five sons: Frank, William, Edward, and Floyd of Belvidere and Clair of Richburg. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles and Henry Scott of Belmont , two sisters: Mrs. Janett Vickory of Custer City, PA and Mrs. Jennie Burdick of Friendship and eleven grandchildren and eleven nieces and nephews.
