Mae Lane, 82, of East Ridge, TN passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 at her residence.

A native of Wedowee, AL, she had spent the greater part of her life in the Chattanooga, TN area and was a member of Harrison Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lane was the owner and operator of "Mr. Quick" on Lakeview Drive for many years, and she was a former instructor for ceramics and painting porcelain dolls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lane, her parents, Robert & Nora Creed, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Gober, East Ridge, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Sam & Bobbie Creed of Harrison, TN; sister, Wilma Bowman, Arab, AL; grandchildren, Todd Gober, Soddy Daisy, TN, Chris Gober, Gardendale, AL, and Chad Gober of East Ridge, TN; great-grandchildren, Morgan & T.J. Gober; special friends, Ashley Borden & Michelle White; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Kenneth McElhaney officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville, GA.
