Wanda I. Haislup, 90, a resident of the United Methodist Community in Franklin, formerly of Bartholomew County, died at 10:24 p.m. Monday, April 5, 1999, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

She had been an elementary teacher at schools in Crothersville, Taylorsville, Newbern, New Point, Connersville and Rising Sun and also had been a Methodist minister at a church in Jennings County.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church at Franklin.

Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope with the Rev. Tim Dillingham officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Community in Franklin.

Born in Brown County Oct. 1, 1908, she was the daughter of James Noble and Olive M. Anthony Dobbs. She was the widow of the Rev. James Floyd Haislup, who died May 31, 1972.

She is survived by a son, Jim L. Haislup of Columbus; a daughter, Lois McCreary of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Dobbs; and a grandson, Jeffrey Haislup.
