Charles W. Alvis

Charles W. Alvis, 62, Anchor Hocking employee, died at 12:50 a.m. today in the home of his son, Leroy Alvis, 322 Eagle-av, following a 20-month illness.

Survivors also include two daughters, Mrs. Anthony J. Krupenske, Fairview, Mass., and Mrs. Herbert C. French, Washington, D.C.; five other sons: Clyde and Charles, both of Michigan, Jackson of Newark, Wayne and Kenneth of Lancaster; three brothers: Rudd of New Straitsville, Frank of Lancaster, and Harry of Columbus; and fifteen grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Frank E. Smith funeral home where services are to be held Saturday, 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Anthony J. Ruble of Maywood Mission officiating. Burial will be made in New Straitsville cemetery.

CHARLES W. ALVIS SERVICES SATURDAY

Funeral services for Charles W. Alvis, 62, who died Thursday at the home of his son, Leroy Alvis, Lancaster, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at the Frank Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster, with Rev. Anthony J. Ruble officiating. Burial will be in New Straitsville Cemetery.

Mr. Alvis was an Anchor Hocking Corp. employe and died following a 20-month illness. Among survivors is a brother Rudd Alvis, New Straitsville.
