Eldest son of Dr Stephen C Barnum, only brother of the late Joshua Barnum of Brewster.

Marriage: 1845-1846? Their son was born in January 1847

1850 Census shows he was married to Sarah Ann age 35

Ran a clothing store with his brother Joshua until he retired in 1879.

Joshua Barnum died March 26 1884 leaving the business to his son.

Peter was twice married.

Brewster standard; March 22, 1889 -
