Andrew (A.O.) died at his home after a lingering illness. He was born May 31, 1869 in Sunderhois, Thisted, Denmark and came to Utah with his parents in 1881, arriving in Manti in July. He married Chalotte 'Lottie' Madsen on May 17, 1895. She died in 1897. He married Petra Peterson in 1902. A.O. was a furniture dealer, the past president of the Manti Commercial Club, and was one of the organizers of the Manti Telephone Company. He was a corporal in the National Guard of Manti when it was first organized, was a member of the City Council for many years, and was active in civic affairs. He was survived by his widow and two daughters: Mrs. Cleo Baxter of Manti, and Mrs. Reva Baxter of Gunnison. Also surviving were two sisters: Mrs. Joseph Lindsey and Mrs. Chris Thompson, both of Salt Lake; and six grandchildren.
