The second Arendtsville woman to die was Mrs. Amelia C. Omer, aged 86 years, 4 months and 24 days who, expired at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon after being unconscious since Tuesday when she suffered a stroke of apoplexy.
Her maiden name was Miss Amelia C. Grammar and she was born in this county on August 2. 1834.
Her brother, the late George Grammar, was at one time Adams county clerk of the courts.
Mrs. Omer, who was a life long member of the Lutheran church, is survived by six children, Mrs. Anna M. Carbaugh, Allan Omer, George G. Omer, Mrs. Mary Criswell, Ira S. Orner and Edward S. Orner. A brother, Allen J. Grammar, of Newark, New Jersey; twenty one grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive her.
Funeral services Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the home of C. L.Criswell Arendtsville.
