He worked in Grand Rapids for Corduroy Rubber Co., Behind his home in the neighborhood by Division and Rose, he repaired cars in a garage behind his home. Later in life he moved further south toward Kelloggsville. He lived in United States in 1949 and Paris Township, Kent, Michigan, in 1950. He died on 1 February 1958, in Grand Rapids, at the age of 75, and was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Kentwood, Michigan.
