Tina Marie Adams
Tina Marie Adams of Long Beach and a former resident of Pass Christian died at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. She was 45 years old. Tina is survived by her parents, Thomas and Esther Adams of Pass Christian; a sister, Jeanne and her husband, Kenneth Koonce of Fayettesville, NC; a brother, Thomas III and wife Laura Adams of Savannah, GA; a niece, Erica Rochelle Frink of Orlando, FL; and friend Ronald Moffett of Pass Christian.
Tina Marie was born at Ernest Harmon AFB, Newfoundland on September 21, 1959. She grew up in Alexandria, LA and Pass Christian. She attended St. Paul Catholic Elementary School, Pass Christian Middle School, and graduated from the Coast Episcopal High School, class of 1977. Tina attended Hinds Junior College and Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College. She graduated from the Jefferson Davis Campus with an Associate in Applied Science in May 1982. Graduation Honors for Tina included the Dean's List and Who's Who in Junior College for that year. Tina was a Pony Club member during her high school years. She owned and trained her horse for participation in shows in South Mississippi and Louisiana and was awarded many ribbons.
Following college Tina was employed at the Stennis Space Center, DuPont and GE Plastics.
She was a member of the St. Paul's Carnival Association and supported team's activities doing art work for posters, ads, and programs. She especially enjoyed float work and ride activities with the Stewaret-Peralta Families Float and as a maid in the Mallini-Parker court of 1981.
Memorials may be sent to the International Essential Tremors Foundation, P. O. Box 14005, Lenexa, Kansas 66285 because Tina lived with that disease all of her life.
Tina shall be laid to rest beside her grandparents, Clarice and Gabriel Saucier in the Old DeLisle Cemetery. Her funeral service will be Monday, January 3, 2005. The visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Pass Christian. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the church.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
