Nancy Elizabeth was the daughter of William H. Shomo and Mary Frances Louderback Shomo. She married Ambrose Godfrey Rinehart on May 6, 1877 in Page County, VA. They had eleven children: Elizabeth Frances R. Higgs, Mattie Florence R. Alger, Hubert Lee Rinehart, Ada Belle R. Turner, Ana Mae R. Painter, Bessie Gertrude R. Campbell, Dora Alice R. Turner (Shenk), Mary Magdalene R. Blosser, Lavinda R. Campbell, Frederick Amos Rinehart & Floyd Godfrey Rinehart.
