LOCAL RESIDENT DIES WEDNESDAY

Week - Illness of one week proved fatal to August Quashnefski, 68, a resident of Amherst for more than forty years. Death came early Wednesday morning in his home on Jackson street.

Mr. Quashnefski was born in Germany, but came to Amherst in 1888 and since that time has been employed steadily in the Amherst stone quarries. He has been an active member of the St. Peter's Evangelical church.

Surviving are four sons, Fred of Amherst, Herman of Elyria, and William and August, and three grandchildren. A brother, Fred, of Amherst, and one brother and one sister in Germany also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the residence at 2 p.m. Friday, with Rev. E. C. Schmidt, pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical church, officiating.
