Philander Day of Fillmore Dies in Provo
FILLMORE - Funeral services for Philander B. Day, 82, Fillmore, who died Wednesday of causes incident to age in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Fillmore Third Ward Chapel.
Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary in Fillmore Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in the Fillmore Cemetery.
Mr. Day was the father of Mrs. Leora Christensen of Levan.
He was born June 21, 1889, in Fillmore, to George and Tamson Stewart Day. He married Alta Lambert on July 19, 1916, in Fillmore. He was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the LDS church.
Survivors include his widow, Fillmore; one son and two daughters, Phil B. Day, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Leora Christensen, Levan; Mrs. August (Merl) Pearson, Kanosh, Millard County; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
