Norma was born on April 6, 1928, in Wright City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lawrence Robert and Louise (Herrington) Chesnut, Sr. Norma worked as a waitress. Survivors include: her husband, Kenneth E. Ellison, of the home; her son, David Cochran; her brothers, Bill Chesnut and wife Estelle of Duncan and Lawrence Robert Chesnut Jr. and wife Sandra of Cache; her sisters, Nadine Burchum of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ruth Sourbriet and husband Nolan of Idaho and Lola Mae Minton and husband Howard of Taft, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Benny, Tommy and Henry, one sister, Ardne and a granddaughter. Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Kelley Memorial Chapel with Reverend Russell Griffith officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Baker, Jerry Watson, Glen Critz, Jeff Lambert, John Given and Kenny Velvick. Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Foresee, Charles Hammett and Tom Woods. Burial followed at the Bower Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
